/KILL
Prints one or more copies of forms, or one or more instances of multiple-version forms (such as the Class of Service Options form), and reroutes printouts to a printer other than the default printer.
CAUTION: The information this command outputs is not always accurate. For reliable output, use the Print function in the forms.
Note: The spaces are important. There must be at least one space between the options and no space directly after a slash (/).
The /COPIES <n> qualifier is used to print n copies (<n> = number of copies) of the form.
The PORT <port name> qualifier directs the output to the device attached to the port-name.
Note: You can direct the file to:
a serial port printer connected to the serial port of the controller.
a PC hyper-terminal screen connected to the serial port of the controller.
a telnet client connected to TCP port 1754 of the 3300 ICP (can be a problem if another output is directed to this port). To direct a print to TCP port 1754, use the port name LPR1 (everything sent to LPR1 is also sent to TCP port 1754), OR in the Application Logical Ports form, Forms Printouts record, set the Port Physical Name to LPR1.
The /INSTANCE n qualifier prints the n-th instance of a multiple instance form.
The /ALL qualifier prints all instances of a multiple-instance form.
The KILL qualifier terminates all pending form print requests not already queued to the output device.
The following conditions apply to the FORMPRINT command:
The FORMPRINT command applies to a subset of all 3300 ICP forms (not all forms are printable). Additional fields may be printed, including some fields that do not apply to the 3300 ICP.
Form names entered must map to SX-2000 CDE form names; otherwise, an "Keyword Unknown" results. Keep this in mind as many of the form names in the System Administration Tool changed in Release 4.1 while the SX-2000 remained the same. The changes are documented in Form Name Changes for MCD 4.1.
If the request is initiated during a programming session in which a form or one of its dependents is being edited, the output indicates that the form is currently locked by another user. The request must be re-submitted when the editing session for the form is complete.
On the SUPERCONSOLE 1000, this command is found under the PRINTER group of commands.
To view the print queue, use the SHOW PRINT command.
