Program Embedded T1/D4 Trunks

Before You Begin

Ensure that:

• The T1/E1 Combo Card, or Dual T1/E1 Framer Module is installed and programmed.

• Interconnect Restriction and Intercept Handling is programmed for each trunk.

Programming

To program T1/D4 trunks:

1. Digital Link Descriptors form
   Select "T1D4" from the Integrated Digital Access field.
   T1 supports CSU mode and DSX-1 mode. 

2. Digital Links form
   Enter the digital link descriptor number programmed in step 1.

3. Class of Service Options form
   Set the ANI/DNIS ISDN Number Delivery Trunk field to "Yes" (if provided).

4. Complete one of the following:

5. Digital CO Trunk Circuit Descriptors form

6. Digital DID Trunk Circuit Descriptors form.

7. Digital E & M Trunk Circuit Descriptors form.

5. Trunk Attributes form
   For E&M trunks, set Release Link Trunk to "E&M"
   For Non-dial in Trunks (CO and E&M), set Day, Night1, and Night2 Answer Points
   For Dial in Trunks (DID), set the number of digits to absorb in the Incoming Digit Modification-Absorb field

6. Digital Trunks form
   Enter a Trunk Number, Trunk Service Number (from step 5), Circuit Descriptor (from step 4), and Interconnect Number.

7. Network Synchronization form (optional)
   Assign a source connection to a Network Source Clock.

8. Trunk Groups form
   For outgoing trunks, assign the trunk number (from step 6) to a trunk group.
